Objective

To make electricity reliable and affordable enough that businesses can plan production around it, sequenced by economic impact.

Description

Implements the Productive Energy Development Bill's phased framework, prioritising the sites where reliable power has the most immediate productive impact.

Implementation Phases

  1. 1. Phase 1 · Markets and Public Facilities

    Priority markets, schools and health centres receive the first mini-grid and solar deployments.

  2. 2. Phase 2 · Productive Clusters

    Power extends to identified productive clusters of workshops, artisans and small manufacturers.

  3. 3. Phase 3 · Digital and Technology Facilities

    Power infrastructure is extended to support digital centres and technology-oriented facilities.

  4. 4. Phase 4 · Future SEZ Infrastructure

    Power planning is integrated into the SEZ Master Plan's infrastructure requirements.

Institutional Role

Coordinated with the Rural Electrification Agency, licensed mini-grid operators and the relevant State ministry responsible for power.
